VALIDITY AND RELIABILITY OF THE ARABIC PRODUCTIVE VOCABULARY KNOWLEDGE INSTRUMENT AT THE HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTION LEVEL (I-PVKA IPT) USING THE RASCH MEASUREMENT MODEL

Knowledge of productive vocabulary is something critical in learning Arabic Malaysia. A precise measurement tool needed order to know the level students knowledge vocabulary.Therefore, this research aims validate Productive Vocabulary instrument at IPT (i-PVKA IPT). Through a quantitative approach, test was distributed 40 final year Selangor International Islamic University College (KUIS) and Sultan Abdul Halim Muadzam Shah (UniSHAMS) who are studying language program.Next, data were analyzed usingthe Rasch Measurement Model with help Winsteps version 5.2. The findings recorded high item reliability index, which 0.86 separation index 2.46.The noise found 8.3% far from ceiling value 15%.Meanwhile, only seven items be out mean square fit range, those retained refined.In conclusion, i-PVKA successfully proven have validity by should used measure higher institutes.
